Hi: I think I get the same with any list box item I try and read character
by character using the mouse as I use to be able to do in the prior versions
of WindowEyes.
It is a problem when I have a line of text as a list item and speech
doesn't read clear enough to be sure of what the characters may be.
If the line is long even WE automatically reading the line character by
character without the ability to review an individual character doesn't help
so I get what you are saying.
There must be a way to read a line in a list character by character and
review an individual character to ensure it is perhaps a "b" and not a "d"
but I don't know how to do it so would like to hear the answer to this
question as well.

Subject: RE: Reading with the Mouse Keys re-visited

Good day everyone

Although my issue has been mitigated when reading email messages, here is a
scenario I haven't found a solution for yet. Again any and all help is
appreciated.

Steps:

Open outlook.
>From the Inbox press control+N to begin a new message.
Think of a name that is in the cache so when you type it in the To field, it
will automatically be inserted.
When you have a name that comes up, like Terry Smith for example, press the
enter key.
Now route the mouse pointer to cursor.
Use the numeric keypad keys to read the name character by character.
Also try to use the control+shift+numpad arrow keys to move a fixed number
of pixals.

If this works properly for you, let me know then I can see what, if
anything, I need to do to fix this issue at my end.

What currently happens for me is Window-Eyes only reads the name that was
found, I cannot get it to read it character by character. Eventually I can
press insert+up arrow to read the line and pressing it quickly I can get it
to spell the entire line. I've had no luck to navigate by character or just
get the spelling of one word.

Vic
