after you press f8 at the end of the text try pressing the windows control c
to copy the text to the windows clip board.;
then paste it to your document.
i have gotten this to work. and i was haveing this problem with windows 7,
in firefox34. but it is working now the way f8 is suppose to work for me.

The F8 copy function was very buggie prior to WE 9.1 but since its
release it has worked great for me. The only change I made was to
change the hot key from F8 to shift downarrow.
