Hi Rod: Sounds good.
I just copied and pasted the zipped file onto the body of the e-mail message
and it looks like that may have worked as well.
I am waiting to hear from the recipiant to see if they get a valid
attachment but it is there when I review the message.

Hi Rick,

Easiest way is to use SendTo in Windows Explorer, and send it to Mail
Recipient, since it attaches the file and opens a new email in your default
client.
Otherwise, the second method is, in the edit window of the email, choose the
Insert tab, tab once and then press the Attach file button and browse to the
file using the standard Windows browse dialog.

Hth,

Rod

Subject: Attach zipped file to Outlook msg in windows 8.1

Hi: I am trying to attach a MyFolder.zip file to an e-mail but when I hit
alt tab to the attach file, navigate to the MyFile.zip and select it it
seems that Outlook is trying to insert the file(s) inside the zipped file
and the attachment fails with the can not find the file to attach message.
What am I doing wrong here or how do I attach a zip file anymore?
