Hi Guys: I copied the MyFile.zip and then pasted it into the message body and the zip file was attached to the message. The recipient got the message and the zip file was intact and he used it without a problem. This is easy enough to remember for an old fat blind guy I guess. I also remember the select a file and elect to send it to a recipient and the standard send mail dialog will come up but havent used it except from a website running in Internet Explorer and it worked well there so 2 methods work according to my latest tests. Too bad, as OlUseGun mentioned, Microsoft had to change everything from easy to complicated to try and cram more logic onto a single window or form via that nasty ribbon design but it is what it is. Then, go to Windows Explorer and find the file or files you want. Click on them and copy them. Then go back to Outlook and hit Control V to paste them. They will automatically attach. If you prefer the classic way, hit alt to open the ribbon, right arrow once to the Insert tab, then tab once to the first button on the ribbon which is the attach button. You'll hear "include group, attach button". -----Original Message----- From: Talk [mailto:talk-bounces+robin.van.lant=key....@lists.window-eyes.com] On Behalf Of Olusegun -- Victory Associates LTD, Inc. via Talk Sent: Friday, June 05, 2015 9:43 AM To: Rod Hutton; Window-Eyes Discussion List Subject: Re: Attach zipped file to Outlook msg in windows 8.1 In previous mail readers, such as Outlook Express, inserting an attachment was a pinch! This so-called ribbon thingy in Outlook and Word only serves to make things far too complicated than is necessary. Whatever happened to being able to just press Alt-I to open the relevant window where I can select which file to attach?
