Hey, Joe.

I don't know why Windows does this, but I just reversed and then fixed my
desktop icons. Here's how.

Do this.

>From the desktop, make sure nothing is selected. You can do this with
control-space bar. Now press the applications key and select sort by from
the menu. The top item in win 7 is name. The name menu item is already
checked, but press enter on it anyway. When the menu closes, the icons
should be arranged in ascending alphabetic order again.

Subject: desktop is changed

Hi good people,

I like icons with recycle-bin near the top, and the rest as much as possible
in
alphabet order.

For some reason, ahnd there will be a reason, the re-cycle-bin is number 28
of
28 and computer is about 12.

Having checked the desktop settings against a system which is in the order
that
I want, I can observe that the settings on both machines as regards the
desktop
are identical.

So here's the kicker. How do I get my desktop icons back in the order that
I
want, when it appears that all settings are correct?

Thanks.

Joe
