Hi: I have never seen anything like that unless there is a file extension
selected in some box and in this case the .exe extension which is getting
added onto the .zip extension.
It also could be a result of some website using a custom installer or
unzipper appended to a standard zip file and then executing it when you
click on the executible.
It is hard to determine what is going on in any case without actually seeing
the source of the url you are downloading.
.But I would check to see if in the downloader box on the site if there is a
selection for a file type to save as and ensure the .exe extension is not
selected if it exists.
If there is a box and there is a "*) star in the list of file extensions
highlight it and try the download again.
If the site uses some type of "custom" installer you will have to read their
instructions on how to use it.
These are the only 2 things I can think of off the top of my head, the first
being if you elect to save a download and you actually get an option to
select if there will be a file extension appended to the file being
requested for download.

Subject: compressed file Issue.

hi guys, I have just noticed the following Issue with downloading compressed
files?.
When the compressed files are completed, Instead of the file extention being
either .zip or rar.
The file when completed has either: .zip.exe or .rar.exe entition instead.
I have never come across this curious Issue before when downloading
compressed files.
What is going on, and how to sort it please?, Billy
