Hi there!
Don't really experience the loss of speech very often, but when I do, I just press the 'Alt-Ctrl-W' and this brings my W.E. back. Really don't know what causes W.E. to drop, but don't view it as being a big deal since the W.E. hotkey will bring it back for me. Just my two sence whatever that's worth these days!

I have been having loss of speech more frequently, with Becky email and W.E. I
was having to reboot, but today I exited Window euyes and switched to N.V.D.A.
I opened Becky email, then exited NVDA and switched back to W.E. The sound
came back. So this must be a Window Eyes issue.
