I'm seeing this, too, and I don't think it happened when I was on WE 8.4 last week. For me, it seems that my focus is lost somewhere between the subject line and the body of the message. I do not virtualize messages by default, so I can see that the cursor is blinking at the top of the message on the ones that read correctly and, for those that I need to Shift tab and tab back, the cursor is not visible until I shift tab and tab. When I hit shift tab, I hear subject, then tabbing brings me to the body. Of the four messages at the top of my work inbox, 2 did not read immediately and 2 did. I cannot see any consistency or difference between those four, such as message format, notifications bars, or such.
