Good point. I just keep Windows Security Essentials running at all times and
every four to six weeks I get another program from NINITE.COM and run a
scan.

I'll check out one that is not freeware to see what it will find.

Thanks.

Vic,

Have you tried any anti-malware program other than the free ones to scan
your system? Many many well hidden malware programs will have as a side
effect inexplicable system crashes as they try to do their stuff without
being seen.

Just an idea,

Chip

Well, although it doesn't make sense to me how a shortcut can cause issues,
I will delete the IE one on my desktop and launch it from the search box.
Right now I am willing to try anything.

Hi,

I use the newest version of Window-Eyes, Windows 7, and IE 11. Speech has
stopped many times on this computer, everywhere and any time, and it was
frustrating. After deleting a shortcut for IE on the desktop, so far there
has been no problem. I hope it stays that way. SMILE!

Greetings

I am trying to keep track of situations and one that appears to be happening
about half the time is launching URLs from the Qube.

I press control+Windows Key+up or down arrow keys to read the tweets in my
home buffer. When there is a link to call up a web page I will press
control+Windows Key+B. Right now I have IE 11 set as my default browser.

Roughly half the time the dialogue Window-Eyes has stopped working will pop
up. This is after IE is launched. No error report is generated.

Vic
