Hi Brian: If you can't afford to upgrade, you can get the latest version of Microsoft Office, which is somewhat less than the cost of an upgrade, then download the free version of Window-eyes. Make sure to install and register your Microsoft Office before you install the free version of Window-eyes. I did it a few weeks ago myself. I had actually intended upgrade my retail version of Window-eyes from 8.4 to 9.1, but when I looked at the cost of the upgrade plus an MSA and then looked at purchasing the latest version of MS Office, I found that the latter option was much less expensive than the former, so I got MS Office and downloaded and installed Window-eyes from the Window-eyes4office website. You do have to keep in mind that the voices will be different and might take some getting used to, and you do not get free unlimited technical support for your Window-eyes from aisquared. But if you are comfortable with these changes, then it is well worth it for you. Kevin Huber
