I only use Kindle for PC in order to get books before I convert them
with Epubsoft toolbox.

It looks like the goons at Amazon have struck again. I first
downloaded the Kindle for PC APP and found it inaccessible., I then
remembered that they had an accessible downloader. I found it and
downloaded it. However I still can’t register my PC with it. Is it
