Hi,
Do the following to fix the issue.
1. In hot keys/miscellaneous define set highlight color to a hot key of your
choice. I set mine to shift-alt-h.
2. Open a new message in Eudora.
3. In the message body, write a line, I chose "this is a test."
4. Move your cursor somewhere in the line.
5. Press insert-numpad plus to route the mouse to the line.
6. Press home to move to the beginning of the line.
7. Press shift-end to select the line. Note: nothing is announced.
8. Press the hot key you defined in the first step. A message is announced
telling you the highlight color was set.
9. Open up the Window-eyes control panel and save the settings.

Chris

Dave, you wrote earlier, saying that Eudora was not reading text
selected with WE, 9.2. I tried selecting text and got the same
results. However, if you select with the shift and arrow keys, the
text is selected. Interestingly, if I select with shift end, the
selected text is read.

John
