I recently (three months ago) purchased a new PC and the most recent
version (until now) of Window-eyes. Having the ability to reboot
Window-eyes with a key stroke (control-shift-w) and the ability to shut
down my computer by hitting the button on my CPU are invaluable to me.
Often, in the past, I had to do forced shut downs because I lost speech.

I am using Window Eyes 8.4, Windows 2010, Internet Explorer 10 and Outlook

speaking. This is quite annoying, since I have to reboot my computer to make
it speak again. Is there anything I can do to make whatever is causing the
problem stop doing it? Thanks.

one thing to do is to look in the factory set files and see if any of the
set
files are out of date.
this can cause crashes. also check that all the installed apps are up to
date.

Subject: frequent lockups
Hi,
Using, W7 HP 32, WE 9.2 Office 2013 and latest Firefox and Thunderbird.
Unfortunately, installing the latest WE has made no difference to the
number of temporary lockups being experienced. It is like WE goes into
some sort of endless loop for a while before allowing access to the
system again after 30 seconds or so. Previously it seemed to be only in
IE and Firefox that this problem occurred but it has got worse with the
WE upgrade.
These tempory lockups are now being experienced in Word 2013 as well.
The latest Thunderbird crashes frequently requiring Tbird to be restarted.
Unless I missed it, there was no mention of these lockups, which are
experienced by many users, in the latest readme file. In fact, I can't
remember Ai Squared even admitting the lockups occur. Sureley, with all
their available computers, including tester's machines, they must be
able to duplicate this problem which is affecting so many users. This
very annoying problem has now been around for a couple of versions and I
sincerely wish it was fixed.
Neville.
