Hey, Lou. I give up. Off and on, throughout the day, I have tried to get
the control-shift-question Key combination redefined and have had no luck.
I've uninstalled the 2013 sets, reinstalled them, and even uninstalled and
reinstalled the Office 2013 sets and the Outlook Enhanced app. I usually
don't try to define, assign or undefine and redefine hotkeys, so I am lost
on this one. I was trying to send you a private e-mail, but when I tried to
read your e-mail address after replying to this post, I couldn't read your
e-mail address character by character. Window-eyes would read your address
in rapid fire succession as per usual. I am going to have to be instructed
step by step on how to deal with the hotkey combination not working as
expected. Oh, on my laptop computer running Windows 7 64 bit, the hotkey
combo won't work either. This makes me wonder if shutting down and
restarting the computers causes the hotkey to become undefined. Thanks.

Hey, Mike.

You should be able to redefine it, yes. Control-Shift-question mark is the
program help hot key, located in miscellaneous of the hot keys tree view
node. It's the second press of the letter p. It's set to global.

hth,
Lou N.

Subject: Redefining a hotkey

Hi. Earlier this morning I heard the progress bar indicator giving
percentages of a program downloading in the background. I was trying to
figure out which program was installed by accessing the programs and
features list in the Windows 8.1 control panel. Well, I was trying to
uninstall unnecessary programs, particularly the Window-eyes 9.1 program.
Bad move! I have had to reinstall Window-eyes 9.1, then 9.2, but in the
process of doing so, the ctrl-shift-question key combination has become
undefined. Steven Clower told me that the key can sometimes become
undefined. I can't seem to find the ctrl-shift-question key combination in
the hotkeys list. I don't know why I can't find the hotkey. Short of
uninstalling and reinstalling the Office 2013 sets and the Outlook Enhanced
app which Chris did during a remote assistant session, can't I simply just
try redefining the hotkey? That is, if I could just find it. I'm going to
go back to the hotkeys list yet again. ? Thanks.
