Hi list, I have not experienced several of the "desktop" issues mentioned recently on this list, however, I am noticing a general sluggishness with V9.2.
I have noticed some of the things others have mentioned, particularly with Outlook. If I am too quick to review the content of a message with the arrow keys, I get stuck in the subject field. If I wait for the message to start to be spoken by WE, this does not happen, and all is well. When in Excel, when I enter data, and move away from the cell, with either the tab or arrow keys, and move back to review, (too quickly), We does not speak the cell content. There is a significant delay before I can review that content. Also in Excel, often I am not able to edit cell content as WE won't read the content, and all I get is a ping tone. This is an intermittent problem, as I can sometimes try again immediately, and speech is back. As I have no great need to upgrade, I am currently running Office 2007, and Windows 7, on a new Dell Inspiron. I realize that staying with software that is several generations out-of-date, is possibly a contributing factor to whatever issues I may be experiencing. Overall, I think that WE is a great product. Sometimes a little patience goes a long way, and an occasional reboot can cure any number of issues. Sometimes, walking away, and coming back later, works wonders as well!
