Hi, 1. Press control-backslash for the Window-eyes control panel. 2. arrow down to keyboard and press the right arrow. 3. Arrow down to voice and press tab. 4. Tab to the voice combo box, select on with characters. 5. Press control-s to save. Note: you can use the global shortcut insert-2 until you get to the item on with characters.

Why it turns off is a mystery. I'm on a win7 computer; have been for years; just recently win-eyes likes to pull this stunt of dropping the speech for the keystrokes. Help appreciated.
