Well not having played a lot with edge as of yet I can not really address this question as it was pozed. How-ever I will try to explain some things based on my understanding. First edge is accessible. There are some problems with it but these problems are being sorted out. Note NVDA already has expairamental support for the edge browser. I am sure that the window-eyes team also has such support for the edge browser in house. It should be noted here that the edge system is also used in universal app support and this is very important to blind people who want to use these apps even if you don't use edge. Remember also this operating system was put out less then a month ago. The issues and problems are being addressed.

Hi. Before I go into my question, I agree with those that think Microsoft should have included the ability for screen readers to use Edge. If the code is there, screen reader manufacturers are willing to use it. Now, having said that, I have a different view of the Edge browser. What can it do for us blind users that Internet Explorer can't? The only thing I've heard of is you can write or type on a web page, but I don't know why this is useful. It obviously is, or Microsoft wouldn't have made it part of Edge. Just curious.
