Hi Dave: I am in between. I get allot of freeze ups especially in IE 11
using WindowEyes 9.1 and 9.2 but not all the time.
Allot depends on which Websites I am visiting and how cranky WindowEyes is
behaving when I go to them.
There have been several good ideas about this ranging from automatic mouse
stuff causing problems as WindowEyes moves it around behind the scenes to
flash, one I am sure WindowEyes has problems with, to the fact that
WindowEyes might be having problems trying to get the use of computer
processors if it is running on a thread that gets locked up.
And then there are the various scripts that run slowly compared to compiled
code, use various timing tricks and have their own threading and message
processing situations.
Most of these can not really be analyzed by us since we don't have access to
necessary code nor would we want to most likely.
But when you are on a Website and you get an error that IE Explorer or other
application has locked up it should never lock up the Screen Reader.
Also, anything that is used to monitor dynamic and page changes events
should never be able to automatically trigger any action without some
specific interface, notification perhaps but no automagic actions without
notification.
We don't want a MenuBar ppopping up because of WE tracking some screen
changes behind the scene and moving the mouse, by itself for tracking
purposes, over some active control, ditto dynamic advertising and flash or
flash advertising.

Subject: Re: WE 9.2 and IE 11

If you call their Tech Support, they won't say that 9.1 or 9.2 has been
a Step backwards, but what they do not say, often tells the story they
can not say over the phone. After all, management might be listening,
and heaven forbid someone tell the truth about a product.

Although, I am still wondering what the differences are between those
systems that are said to run 9.2 without a stitch of problems, and the
systems those of us who can barely get a session on the Web finished
without speech dropping out, or the system freezing up.

I asked this question to those who had those systems that were having no
issues, but did not get a single reply. So I'll ask my question to
those of us who are having major issues with 9.X.

To those who are finding 9.2, or 9.1 locking up, or Speech Dropping out,
or requiring a restart of WE, or a hard Re Boot, does your computer have
a Dedicated Sound card in the system?

Meaning, the Sound chips you are using, are on a Card that is plugged
into the Mother Board, rather than are built into the Mother board from
the Mother board manufacturer.

This system I use, has no dedecated Sound card, but is using the built
in Graphics as well as the built in Sound features that were part of the
Mother board.

How about the rest of you, if you can write an Email without having the
system freeze.
