Well, I can say that I have this problem with WLM using Win 7 and WE 8.4.
I can start composing a message and I can read it just fine. But then, I'll
alt-tab over to a web page I've got open in Internet Explorer, to get a link
to paste into a message for example, and then when I get back to my email
message, I can't read it with the cursor at all. Turning, (or trying to),
turn browse mode on or off does nothing.
However, I have found that unloading and reloading WE fixes the problem.

Bob,
There are many of us holding back on Windows 10, so it is very possible that
the number of people in your position are still low. I've encountered this
problem of not tracking the cursor in the Windows Live compose window even
under Windows 7, although it is possible it is worse under Windows 10. I
have found that there seems to be an interaction with other programs that
causes this sometimes, although I have not found which specific programs
make this happen. It has seemed to me that other Microsoft Office programs
can make this happen but I have not seen a consistent pattern. If you
reboot your computer, open Windows Live Mail, and open a compose window
before doing anything else, does this still happen? I'm not saying that you
should have to do this to get it to work, but it would help establish if
perhaps something else in your system is causing an interaction that results
in not being able to track the cursor in the Windows Live Mail compose
window. Of course, be sure that Browse Mode is off as well. It used to
happen often that Browse Mode would turn on while in the compose window, but
that has been resolved for me for some time. Finally, does turning apps off
make a difference? Again, these are not suggestions meant to provide a
solution now, only ideas to figure out what the problem is. Obviously, you
should not have to be dealing with this at all, but it seems to mee that
there is something a little flaky with Microsoft products lately.
Best regards,
Steve Jacobson

Subject: Problem With WLM
I asked this question A FEW DAYS AGO AND GOT ONLY ONE ANSWER WHICH DID NOT
HELP AT ALL.
Using
Windows 10
Window Eyes 9.2
?WLM
When I am writing an email in WLM, I hear what I type. But I cannot go back
and read what I have typed.
I have to compose my email in Word, correct any typos, spell check, and then
copy and paste into an email.
I can’t believe that there is no one on this list who also is using Win 10
and WLM 2012 that has not encountered the same problem?
How about the GW Staff?
