I had problems when I was setting it up on a windows 8.1 machine using it with Verizon since Verizon uses ssl. Yuou have to make that all the certificates are active. If you go and subscribe to the Eudora listserv they may be able to help you. Even the people at the geek squad have trouble. When I used to use time warner ssl was not used so it was easier. There are a couple of people on the we mailing who can help you however I don't know there e-mail. I am not good at going to the certificate manager and fixing that stuff. Hi Bud I had similar issues. I'm not exactly sure why, but every other email program I tried worked ok, but Eudora constantly gave me error messages when it tried to connect to the server and retrieve mail. Unfortunately the program is long out of date and isn't being developed anymore. I'm using Thunderbird at the moment, and while it's not exactly the same as Eudora, it's certainly a good alternative if you can't get Eudora to do its thing.
