I know that I have done this. If there is a SendTo: submenu, one of its
options would be to create a desktop shortcut. If that feature is missing
from Windows 10, my desktop shortcuts must have gotten there when I
installed certain programs. Pinning programs to the taskbar can be useful
sometimes, because from the taskbar you can launch them with file or URRL
options preset.

I need to know how to make a short cut on the desk top.
I went to the program and hit the context key and got the choices pin to
start and pin to the task bar.  There was nothing about a shortcut on the
