Bud, you're almost there. In Eudora, under the Tools menu, select personalities and launch the properties dialogue for your personality. In most cases, there will only be one, labeled Dominant. On the first tab of the properties dialogue, select the certificate manager, which is a tree view of certificates. Open each node of that tree and tab to the "add to trusted" button. If the certificate contains others in its group, once you've trusted the top level, you will find that it has one more node under it in the tree view. Keep trusting the certificates until there isn't one left. That should solve your problem until Verizon resets its certificates.
