Hi Larry, You should check the Scope of the setting for Keyboard, Voice in the set file which is in effect for the Winamp app, assuming that there is a unique set file in effect, and this can be checked by opening the WE control panel when Winamp is the active application. My guess is that it is set for Program, and you should change it to Global.

It looks as if I have traced the problem to the use of Winamp presets which use the number keys at the top of the keyboard. Earlier today, it seemed that if I didn't minimize WE, that the speaking of characters continued to work for hours after saving the settings. Then I managed to undo all of that by simply using one preset within Winamp. After I lost my characters, I went directly to the keyboard settings, and did my due diligence, saved the results, and all was well until I went to used one of the presets again to switch audio streams. This really seems to be the source of the problem. Does anybody have any ideas outside of simply not using the presets to solve this problem, hopefully once and for all? BTW, the above preset feature is a function of the Winamp app. Any help would really be appreciated, Larry _______________________________________________ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared.
