Hi Reg,

I agree with what has been said already, and I would hazard a guess that you
might get more reliable performance by making the USB sound device the
default audio Playback device.
This works for me on my Windows 7 PC.

My problem is that I don't understand why it selects the right device
sometimes on startup, but not at others, when it appears to make an
arbitrary selection.  I'm guessing there's sometimes a discrepancy
between when USB becomes available, and when W-E selects the ports
available, but maybe not.
