You should first configure Windows Updates not to download or install
automatically. Then go to Installed Updates, and search for the update
there. Next, delete the update. Finally, check for updates again, and the
update will appear in one of the lists. I think initially it was an
important update, but now it may be an optional one. Either way, once you
find it, you can hide it. Remember, you can always get Windows 10 when you
are ready. If nothint else, you can unhide the update.

Subject: Re: Windows 7 Update Question
I'm also getting the nagging window inviting me
to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I have
gone to Control Panel - Windows Update - and
looked in both the Important Updates and
Optional Updates and none of them are KB305583.
Do I need to initiate an update enough to get it
downloaded in order to see KB305583 in a list? Thanks for any help.

Got my problem solved. The culprit was an update KB3035583. I uninstalled
it and hid it for a different reason, to get rid of the windows 10 icon in
my systray. My computer doesn’t change the cursor to the task bar
anymore, but stays put on the desk top. Thanks to Net Bat for mentioning
this update on the list today. Pastor Gil
