Unless you can find ways to test the serial port with another speech syn,
else with the settings of the device manager is the only way you can try to
see which problem lies.

Hi all

My trusty Apollo II External, which I use when I don't want speech to be
broadcast, works through a Prolific USB to Serial Convertor, which
Windows says is "working properly".  The port number is correct, and the
other port settings have not changed.  When I switch to this synth via
the voice rotor, apollo just comes up with "Sigma9 0" ETC.

Any ideas?
