Here is the sequence of commands that usually works for me.
1. While in the text of the message. hold down the alt key and press the number seven twice quickly. (the seven key is the one on the top row of numbers, not the numpad). 2. Sometimes the attachments will be listed here. If, instead of hearing the attachments, you hear "quick access toolbar", press escape key once.
3. Use arrow keys to find attachments.
4. When you have found the attachment you want, press alt-f to get into the file menu.
5. Press down arrow till we says "save as".
6. Press right arrow one time and we should say "file".
7. Press down arrow one time and should hear attachments.
8. Press enter to select this option. This puts you in a dialog box. If you want to save all attachments at the same time, choose the "select all" option.

Hope that helps. Let me know if u need more help.

Subject: Windows live mail question

Please tell me the sequence of keystrokes in Windows Live Mail to open an attachment. I know how to save attachments but want to know if there is a mechanism for merely opening message attachments.

Thanks.
