Hi Pam,

One practice that might be helpful is to always keep your mouse pointer
in one of the corners, i.e., top left, bottom right.  When the mouse
pointer is inside a list, particularly when the list is a list of files,
such as in Windows Explorer, the main cursor does jump away from where
it was placed.  You can test this theory by placing your cursor on a
file and then move the mouse somewhere in the middle of the screen.  Go
back and check your cursor again and see if it has moved to another file.
