you could press control v or control c and it would say copied to clipboard or
paste
but if there is no text nothing ill be copied.
all you are hearing are the keys that were defined in the key label dictionary.
open the dictionary, go to capture key and press your control v keys. then
enter the new description, like copy to clipboard and add it to the dictionary
the same for paste. then save your changes.
then the keys will speak.

Yes. My problem with the f8 is that it will copy to the clipboard, but it
will not paste into internet explorer. I know that it copies, and I can
paste it into note pad, but I can't paste it into internet explorer. If I
try the old copy and paste, it doesn't talk while I'm selecting. Pam.
