Mark, this happens when posting comments on FB Mobile or entering text in Amazon search boxes. I am able to enter info, but not read itusing arrow keys. Occasionally, the CTRL-Alt-W Window-eyes relaunch fixes things. I do have Compatibility mode enabled.

Bob,
Can you provide a specific web page where you can't fill out a form and the
steps to duplicate? I would like to try and duplicate the issue on my Win 8.1
and 10 PCs.

No luck for me using the latest Thunderbird and Window-eyes.
I still am unable to edit messages in Thunderbird as well as edit forms
in IE or Firefox. This is completely unacceptible as I have no issues
with either using the free screen reader.

Hi,
The following is a copy of a message sent to the list a couple of times
in the past few months but here it is again.

The modifications work well in W7 but it seems it does not work in W8

Neville.

Using: W7 HP 32 bit, latest versions of WE, Firefox and Thunderbird

Use the three steps below to make both Firefox and Thunderbird
accessible with the mouse just like they used to be. I was able to use
WE to make the necessary changes in Thunderbird but needed sighted
assistance for Firefox. For some reason WE kept loosing speech in the
case of Firefox but maybe NVDA would work.

A similar method has been around for a while but never had any success
with it but these three steps really work. In short, I was amazed with
the change in mouse accessibility the alterations made.

Hopefully, someone can come up with a method to make Chrome mouse
accessible as well.

Unfortunately it is not known for sure whether this technique will work
as well under W8 and W10 as it does under W7 32 and 64 bit. If you do
try it under W8 or W10, please inform the list of your results. i.e.
Either positive or negative.

Neville.

This is the three steps needed to fix the mouse cursor problem.

The third step is the new one. You do have to arrow down many times to
find it. A lot do seem to sound the same, so be careful you get the
correct one to change.

3. Pressing UP or DOWN ARROW will move you between options or typing the

Subject: how to get the mouse keys to read in thunderbird, firefox,
and internet explorer

Hi I am using window-eyes 9.0 and windows 7.
How do you get the mouse keys in window-eyes to read in Firefox,
Thunderbird, and internet explorer?
I used to be able to do this.
Then I had Microsoft remote in to my computer and they had to do A
repair on windows and then didn't delete anything.
But now when I try to read with the3 mouse in any of the programs that I
stated earlier in this message.
all is I get is DING, DING, DING.
When I try
