Hi Morné,

In my experience, Virtual View is able to recognize and extract the text from
some PDFs but not all of them. PDFs can vary greatly in complexity and their
encoding. I would recommend reaching back out to tech support and submitting
your PDF file as a sample for us to test.

Regards,
Marc

Subject: cannot read a pdf document with vertual view

Hello listers,

I have the latest version of WE on a Windows 8 computer. I want to read a pdf
version of a newspaper. I downloaded it as described in the tutorial on how to
read a pdf document with virtual view. I followed all the steps.
When I press the open button, WE, just says "page 1 of 12, cancel button".
Then WE says "virtual view help minimized." The pdf doesn't want to open.
However, it works when I open a Word document. I have Adobe installed on my
computer. Dave suggests that I look into security settings, but I don't have a
clue where to start. Thanks for the help in advance.

Kind regards

Morné
