you have to turn browse mode off first then you can press alt down arrow to open the list.

try, hitting alt down arrow, that should open the combo box and then you
should be able to arrow down through the choices. HTH

This is probably a minor settings glitch, but when I go to the BARD
site, (NLSBARD.loc.gov) I can't read the combo boxes which contain the
listings of categories, magazines, etc. I could always arrow down
through a list; now, when I press the arrow key, nothing happens. I may
only see the first item.
This may have been featured before, but I had no problem in the past. I
am running Windows 8 and the latest version of Window-Eyes.
