Hi everyone, For any of you who have a wordpress web page, maybe you could answer a question for
me.In my spare time, my friends and I do podcasting as a hobby. We've posted and stored some of our audio files online on archive.org. We're thinking about creating our own site and posting the audio files on our own wordpress page. I know there's a way to link an audio file from Archive.org To your own site, but the directions given on archive's web site are mouse oriented and a bit confusing. Here's the question and answer from archive itself: How do I link to a specific audio track? You would need the URL of the file to link to it. To get that click "SHOW ALL" link in the DOWNLOAD OPTIONS section of an item's details page. There you can control/right-click on the link to the file and copy the URL. The part about the control key is obvious enough, but right click? I guess you're supposed to hold down the control key and right-click with the mouse? I don't quite understand what they're trying to tell me. Being that I'm not a mouse user, what would be the hotkey equivalent of control right-click? I'm gathering that the main idea behind all this, is to obtain the URL of the file, so that you can paste it into your own webpage, which intern, would allow any visitors to your site to be able to right-click on the file and either download it to their own computer and/or play the file in archive.org's media player. I've heard that when you link an audio file in the manner mentioned above, you're supposed to type left bracket, the word audio press spacebar then either paste or type in the URL, followed by a right bracket. Doing this will not only give visitors to your site a link to download the file, but it will also allow them to play the file using archive.org's media player directly from your site without the need to go to archive.org at all. So, how do I link an audio file to which I've uploaded to archive.org to my own web page? I don't have the web page created just yet, I'm merily asking for future reference. Thanks.
