If you go to dropbox preferences on your computer, not on their website,
there is an option to "Show Dropbox Badge." You may also hear the word
"Down" indicating that you press the DOWN ARROW to change the option.
Change this preference to "Never." For me, that eliminated all of the
problems with Word and Excel files in my Dropbox folder. I get to
preferences by finding Dropbox in the system tray, pressing SPACE which
brings up a menu, and then DOWN ARROW until I get to Preferences.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson

Subject: Problem with reading MS Word 2007 documents from dropbox

Dear all,

I have problem with window-eyes 9.4 reading any Word documents from my
dropbox folders. Encountering same problem with earlier version of
window-eyes.

The cursor is moving over the text on the documents, but window-eyes
does not speak at all. I do not have this problem with NVDA.

Using windows 8.1, MS Office 2007. Anyone can help. Thanks.
