I can't say I quite agree with the whole idea of not using your full
name, because there's no way of people to access your email unless
there's a deeper issue.
Best thing you can do is register your phone number with the do-not-call
database, located at
http://www.donotcall.gov
Ok, now back to Window-eyes discussion for me!

stop useing your real name for your user name when you create an
email account, facebook, twitter etc.
all they need is your real name from emails, facebook twitter etc.
which most people do.
they are being hacked several times per year but usually don't tell
you about it.
then do a reverse phone number lookup
from many on line databases.
there are hackers that compile hundreds of thousands of names and
phone numbers from public records and sell them to these callers and
fishing emails.
they get thousands of dollars per month when they sell other hackers
these lists.
and have you noticed how paypal uses your full name every month when
they send you a link to your monthly statement? how secure is this?
if you also use your full name on your paypal account they would only
have to guess your password if they don't have it already from
facebook or twitter because most people use one password for everything.
the most popular password people use is password, or 1 2 3 4 5 etc.

No it has absolutely nothing to do with you starting, or restarting

I get these as well, I just hang up on them. I don't think it has

Subject: OT: Annoying Window Technical Service Calls from India
or where ever
Hello,
On my last system, a Win 7 system, it seemed when ever I started
up my
computer, shortly after, I would receive a call from a person
telling me
they were from the Windows Technical Service, or something like
that.
So far, every call, which are probably two or three dozen by now,
have all been
from people with thick accents from some far away place.
I knew these guys were up to no good, but I would like to get rid of
them calling me.
Thought when I change systems, I would sease getting these
calls. Not
so.
I have Software to rid my system of viruses and Malware, but
still these
folks keep calling.
Anyone here find a solution to stop these people from calling?
I have started to play along to see what they will do. Even I need
entertainment.
But, I am getting bored and they amazingly seem to really get
upset when
they find out I've been playing them along. totally halairious at
times, but now I really just need to stop the calls.
Anyone have good advice?
Grumpy Dave
