Hi, If you are using imap, No. Shift-delete tells thunderbird Outlook or almost any other client to bypass the trash folder and delete the emails right away.
Next time just use delete and not shift-delete. If you would have done delete you could have just gone into trash and recovered the emails. If you are using POP and you have the emails in the image you might be able to get them back, but, again, shift-delete bypasses trash. I'm using Window-Eyes 9.4 with Thunderbird. The other day, while deleting a block of messages, new emails came in. When I pressed Shift-Delete to permanently delete the marked emails, it deleted the ones I wanted and about 90% of the remaining emails. Prior to this incident, I backed up my drive with Casper, which did an image backup. My question is: can I restore from my backup drive without using an image restore? Can I copy the Thunderbird directory from the backup drive to my main drive and recover most of my emails? If so, how would I do that? Thanks in advance.--Matthew Chao _______________________________________________ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared.
