I use Microsoft essentials and Malware Bytes.
I have used both for years from Windows 7, windows 8 and now Windows 10. my
computer tech is the one that highly recommended them to me. Malware Bytes
is a little tricky if you want to do extravagant things but to do the
different types scans WE works fine with it.
I have used both programs for several years and have never had any problems
at all with virus's or anything else.
Just as a heads up only use the FREE version of Malware Bytes because
according to my computer tech it is actually better than the paid version
and not as usable with WE. Best of luck.
Dave

Subject: Accessible Virus Checker Queery
Hi Guys,
I have been using Avast as my virus checker, but it is just about to expire,
and try as I might, I cannot get it reactivated again. I'm ready to
uninstall it and change to something a little bit more accessible, and I was
wondering if anyone on here might have any suggestions? I have no
objections to either paid or unpaid solutions, other than they are
reasonably accessible, and do their job.
I'm using Windows 7 on this machine, with the latest version of Window-Eyes.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Regards.
Jim.
