He needs to navigate to General, expand it and arrow to Startup Options.
Then configure Startup to allow Window-Eyes to load Window-Eyes after
login. Also, the hotkey is ctrl-alt-W not alt-y to start Window-Eyes.

Subject: older version of Window-Eyes and XP

Hi,

My brother had to install an older version of Window-Eyes on his old XP
computer after replacing the hard drive. The computer does not come up
talking. The only way he can get speech, after everything is loaded, is to
press control-backslash, alt, y, enter and then WE starts speaking.
He would like to know if he has fogotten a step somewhere. He still has the
same hardware and everything else. Thanks for any assistance.

Carol
