When was that you had these problems? Apparently, enough people have
contacted AVG, because it doesn't flag window eyes files as malware,
anymore. Pam.

HI Tom and all:
I tried the free version of AVG for awhile, but I found that it was
eating Window-eyes, in other words, that it thought that some .exe
files that are essential for running Window-eyes were malware so it
deleted them. Even though I tried to tell it that the files in
question were not malware, it didn't seem to pay any attention.
So then I got rid of AVG and went back to MSSE. So far, I have had no
problems, and it is still periodically updating its virus definitions
which means that they are keeping it current.

After reading comments from listers, I thought that AVG would be
accessible
with Window-Eyes 9.5 and Windows 7 64-Bit Pro. I think not so fast. My
problems began as I found that the installation screen did not read
properly. Then, when I got into the Zen afgter I finally got it installed,
I
found that screen didn’t read either. I tabbed and pressed enter at one
point, why I don’t know because that was foolish. I suddently lost speech.
I
rebooted, and things got quite interesting. The drive would seem to be
active for a while and stopped. After several other attempts with the same
result, I had a sighted friend come over. All he saw was was a cursor
blinking about every second. A reboot gave him the same results. He couldn’t
get into Windows of Safe Mode. He WAS FOMA;;U AB;E TP GET into the BIOS

least we were getting text shown on a working monitor. He then tried
Windows
Restore. Luckily that worked, and we got the message that System Restore
had
completed successfully. The loving Windows sounds and Window-Eyes came to
life. I don’t know how much to blame on AVG. Certainly, I made a silly
mistake. However, you guys who say AVG is so great, I wonder what your
system specs are. I do have an HP Pavillion. As far as I’m concerned, AVG
needs a big heap of help. This is the first E-mail I sent since the crash.
Sorry for the rant.;
