Hello, John et al:
I too am experiencing the same notice about Adobe's Shock Flash Player. I simply select the 'Stop Plugin' option and wait! About tenor so seconds later, I get the very same notice with the very same options and I make the very same selection -- 'Stop Plugin."I then wait. About another ten seconds go by and I get to repeat the actions just described. This cycle goes on for about four or five times until the plugin is stopped and Fire Fox then runs okay until something else happens... Just what that is, is not to know!

All this is on a W7, WE9.5.3, and FF 48.0.2. I do not believe the behavior described is connected with WE9.5.3 or its predecessor:WE9.5.1.

I have no work-around. I have no solution. Sometimes when the blinin' system does favors, like invoking FF just because I'm sitting on a link in the email, the same behavior happens. I *CANNOT* exit FF while the wait period is in effect. The keyboard is out to lunch until FF comes back with the notice or the plugin is actualy dead. I think the problem is inFF and do not know how to notify Mozilla.

Hi,
I noticed in another message you talk about running noscript.
Have you tried disabling some or all of your add-ons to see what one may be the one having the issue?

I use Firefox with multiple tabs but am running about 3 plugins.

Nope. Only if I hit F5, and let the browser update the page, WE seems to pick up on it. Had even the Ctrl-Backslash method worked, it would have been half way OK. Smile. But sometimes things are just bad.

Hi,

Yesterday I had to uninstall cumulative update kb3189866. That stopped the favorites security warning. Today I got another security update, kb3193494 and id did the same thing causing any link in the favorites folder to give a security warning when trying to open it. I also uninstalled this latest update, and again, the security warnings are gone.

Hi Alex,

I've been meditating about this issue of yours for some days now, and I can
say that this behavior is similar to what I often experience with
poorly-formatted emails which I read in Outlook with message virtualization
enabled.
I can only say you have to do your best to navigate them, and they're
certainly most easily read continuously. Smile

All the best,

Rod

Aloha,

I am using Win 10 Anniversary edition, 64 byt along with Win Eyes 9.5.3 and
am having difficulty with pdf files. These files came via Outlook 2007 in
an attachment in my e/mail. When I use the read-all command it will read as
it should. However, if I scroll down line by line it seems to jump all over
creation on the page. If I need to change any settings please send the
instructions step-by-step.

What setting should I have for 1 or all windows? I have my windows
maximized as per the old days. My partner in crime says she sees my text so
large it runs off the screen but when I checked my size under vu it is set
at smallest. Thanks in advance!

Aloha,

Alex

Message: 9

Hi. Whenever I go to a website in Firefox (and IE too), I get a message
saying that the Shockwave plugin is either busy or has stopped running. I
then get an option to either stop the plug-in or continue. Whichever I do,
Windoweyes crashes on that website and I have to go into Windows Task
manager to close out Firefox.

And sometimes that doesn't even work.

A friend disabled the shockwave plug-in; now when I go to websites I get a
message asking if I want to allow it.

I have two questions: I understand that shockwave is the Adobe flash player.
By disabling it, am I impairing Windoweyes in some way?

And, second, how do I fix this problem without having to disable a plug-in
that has worked fine until very recently?

Thanks. John

Almost hesitant to ask the question, since you doubtless already have this in hand, but you do remember that you must connect the scanner prior to installing the drivers, right? That’s counterintuitive to how things generally work. I installed a 3600 last night, and it works perfectly in Win 10 with Kurzweil 14.08.

To Steve, for finding the solutions yesterday to my post-9.5 silent Google
Chrome edit boxes and my out-of-focus Windows 10 calculator. And to Chris,
for advice given without an audible sigh, when a caller has those inevitable
lapses and forgets the obvious, as I did this morning. Smile.

Missing running apps? Did you check status under App Management? Are they
set to off?

Duh! The only audible sigh was mine. Sigh.

They are now restored, via that marvelous on check box!

Rebecca

I acted

Hi. I don't want Windoweyes coming up after the login screen. How do I go
about not having Windoweyes come up after the login screen and how do I save
my changes? I have tried this process many times but Windoweyes still comes
up after the login screen. Thanks for your help and have a great day.

Go to the window-eyes control panel, press alt h then v, go to startup and
you should find something that says start Window-Eyes after all users, etc.
