RJ: actually - we do have a right to express opinions, and many of us do actulaly know what we are talking about.
So: let me correct some of your comments: Dan retired recently, and he was suitably acknowledged and recognised for his contribution. Doug is still (as far as I know) involved in software engineering, where he is also highly regarded.
