Have you tried it using JAWS? If it works in JAWS but not WindowEyes it is most likely a WindowEyes problem. If it does not work in JAWS either then there is something throwing an error message that the screen readers are picking up but does not impact the visual performance of the form(s). This happens in Internet Explorer when something like, perhaps, a video or advertising ad is loaded but there is a problem with the loading DLL. The underlying web page is fine but a message is thrown about a problem loading something until you click cancel or something and then often the page will continue as usual. So try JAWS and narrow the problem down some more. Perhaps NVDA might work but I have never played with it so don't know if it would be relevant to the problem definition. This is the quickest attempt at a fix I can think of off hand. Rick USA

We have 3 major files that i need to access as part of my job, but i'm having a huge issue. These files live on the central server, and we have shortcuts pointing to them on the desktop. Here's what ahppens. I click on them, and window-eyes keeps saying the program is not responding, yet if people are looking at it visually, they show up on the screen. I need a solution here guys, and quick, cause this is not acceptable the way it is, and yet my IT guy doesn't have any ansers. It makes no sense. The machine has 4 gigs of ram, and it should load. so all i get is stuff like close the program button, and wait for the program to respond button. I ahve to be able to access these files, and it makes no sense why i can't. Any ideas? _______________________________________________ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared.
