I tried that, and that's the command to select text. I also tried F7, and
nothing happens. I remember looking at all the menus, and finding where the
spell check option was. All I know now is that it works.

I had the same trouble as you and Chris Grabowski asked me to make sure I
maximize the window which seems to have solved the problem.
I was rather surprised as I thought I had already maximised the window.
Can anyone please tell me how I can enable my spell check in WLM? When I try
to use it, it just says "disabled".

Grant I have a 64 bit computer with WLM.
In order to read what I write, I open the email or use the reply or forward
command when I get to the text, go to the subject line and then back to the
text and then I can read what I wrote and can read it while I'm writing.
My problem with WLM is I cannot see what word the spell check is trying to
change.
If the spell check is giving me a word, that's usually OK. But if it has no
suggestions, then I don't know what word it is stopping on.

Using a win7, 32bit desktop pc:
When I am writiing or ansering an email I am unable to proofread what I am
writing in Windows Live Mail. This also means that my braille edge display
is blank.
I was under the impression that the command
alt-space x
would solve the problem but it does not. Also, moving off the email and back
again does not seem to help the problem.
Any helpful suggestions will be grately appreciated.
