When I turn on the Win 7 system, it goes through its usual start up process, including playing the Windows chime at the start of Windows. -- I even hear the Window Eyes Piano Sound as Win Eyes is to be Starting.
But after this, there is absolutely no speech. Attempted to start up Narrator by pressing the Windows Key and the Enter key together. No Speech. Was Narrator part of Win 7? Sorry, can't remember. Even attempted to install NVDA from a Flash drive, and again I received the NVDA Chime, but no Speech. The Sound card is playing sounds, but is not talking. One of you mentioned a Mute feature. Where is this? Is this in the Control Panel of Windows and then under Sound? Or is it part of Window Eyes and is under Screen and Voice etc. I did not see a Mute feature when in the Win Eyes 9.5 Control Panel and then under Devices, and Synthesizers.
