I too have problems opening doc files with jarte. If you figure it out,
let me know how you did it. I had no problems on my last system running
Vista, but Win ten seems as if it don't like something about Jarte and
this compatibility pack. Thank You.

I don't use Jarte all the time. So I uninstalled Jarte and the compatibility

it was on cNet. So I downloaded that one, installed it, and .doc and .docx
files read fine in Jarte now.
I just zipped up and uploaded the compatibility pack installer I used to

I'd first uninstall the one you've installed.
