Curtis: I agree with much of what you have said below.
Add: my stupid confusion over who, where, what, Window-Eyes. The Readme
talks about AI Squared. It does not promote VFO Group. Neither does it
include old fashioned street addresses. I am not clear as to where
Window-Eyes is based - Fort Wayne, St Petersburg or at the Manchester
Centre. Doug's email to which Curtis refers has the St Petersburg
Address of Freedom Scientific. In the "about Window-Eyes" panel within
v95.4, there is no credit information - that is - in the old days we
knoew it was Doug, Aaron etc.
The phone number is answered (automated as I called out of hours) as
VFO Group. Window-Eyes support is [email protected]. Again: the
phone does not give details of specific support addresses for VFO
products. Window-Eyes sales is [email protected]. Window-Eyes still
defaults to GW Micro folders.
The old GW Micro web site stil functions, and profiles the update.
This update could have had more. Through it, we've learnt that Indianna
office has gone to the public at least, there is stil rationalisation of
many things including support and sales, and long standing bug fixes as
requested by users appear to not have been addressed.
Where I live, this disorganisation would be described as a "bugger's
muddle" and for a multinational, multimillion dollar corporate like VFO
Group, there is no excuse for the shambles which seems to be the case here.

This window-eyes works much better for me than any of the other 9

did in the past, and my note from Doug was in my inbox, not on this list
as it should have been for all to read about the necessity of updating
window-eyes, as opposed to the ability to update to a version which
contains X fixes for us to enjoy, including this new additional braille
display.
hmm!

Subject: Re: Window-Eyes Update 9.5.4 not an update
As previously stated, a couple of bugs *were* fixed in this release.
* Support has been added for the HumanWare BrailleNote Touch braille
display.
* An issue where multiple hooking errors would occur in the latest testing
builds of Windows 10 has been fixed.
* An updated digital certificate has been used to sign all executables.
That third one is pretty major, I would say. Those who don't update before
January 26th will find their version of Window-eyes inoperable.
So I'm gonna have to very respectfully disagree. This is a *very* important
update.
I mean...unless you like not having Window-eyes
run at all?

As somebody else pointed out already. This is a patch only. No bugs are
