Hi Robert, I have an iPod Touch, 6th generation, which is the current version. It's about the size of a typical iPhone. It weighs less than an iPhone since it doesn't have cellular telephone capability. Like the iPhone, it has a single, small speaker on the front edge. iPads are generally much bigger, since there greatest feature for the sighted is their larger displays. Being larger, they come with two speakers, providing stereo sound. iPads can come with cellular capability, like iPhones, but these are a bit more expensive. These days, All iPhones, iPads and iPods come with Bluetooth connectivity, and the ability to connect to wifi networks for internet access. All of them also run IOS, Apple's mobile operating system, which is very, very powerful. With a machine like these, there is almost nothing you can't do, especially if you connect a Bluetooth keyboard. VoiceOver is the screen reader which runs on all IOS-based devices, and it is very good, allowing you to perform literally all functions of thee devices. A 16GB 6th generation iPod Touch, which, again, is the current version of this device, can be purchased for $299 here in Canada, and you can buy a 128GB model if you like. With a Bluetooth braille display, you can even type and read in braille with IOS devices. What more can I say except that I respect these little babies very much, and everyone should have one. (smile)
