hi
actually an even less expensive alternative would be an android RCA
galileo pro tablet laptop hybrid running android 6.0. I got one two days
ago. It comes with google docs sheets and slides already installed,
supports sd cards and has a full USB port for a mouse or a USB flash
drive. talkback can be activated when you first turn it on by placing
and holding two fingers on the screen until it starts talking keep
holding them until talkback comes or turns on and then you can set it up
independently. I like it because I can either dock it to the keyboard
and then its a laptop. or I can pull the tablet off the keyboard and use
it just as a touch screen tablet. and with the soft braille keyboard app
i can braille in grade2 on the touch screen just like a braille note
touch. and the whole thing is just $80 at walmart or with the walmart
app on your phone. and you can use many different voices such as
eloquence, or espeak, vocalizer or acapela voices. the talkback screen
reader has many keyboard shortcuts I had to remap a few because the
default ones did not work right so i just changed them. its as easy as
remapping hotkeys in window eyes or jaws. I have also been providing a
lot lot of feedback to the talkback developers to make it even better.
android 5.0 actually starting with 4.4 on up to current 7.2 or whatever
they are at now is a very very good operating system! I plug my android
tablet laptop hybrid RCA galileo pro into speakers and with the xfinity
tv app sit back and watch tv on it.
