good evening List,

I am still trying to figure out which antivirus/security program would be the best fit to keep me safe while working with Window-eyes.

One person suggested Avira, gdata, sophos and vipre are accessible. In my research, I did not find any of them listed as on the top 10 antivirus/security programs. Can anyone correct me or give me input on why I should use one of these and which one??

In my surfing, I found David goldfield's Blind Planet page. He suggests choosing an antivirus/security program that protects and not just because it works with a screen reader.

He recommends Kaspersky. Although he had issues installing the latest Kaspersky with NVDA, he was able to navigate it with NVDA in order to change settings. From the sound of it, the ability to run a scan and update the program are accessible. Having a sighted husband, the install would not be an issue for me.

Below is the link to the article (hopefully) (You may have to cut and paste it into your browser)

Kaspersky Antivirus: A Review for Screen Reader Users

Can someone give me some input on any of the above or other programs and anything else I should consider when choosing an antivirus/security program.

thanks for your help,
