Well, I don't have a great answer, but, here it goes. I have a good friend who runs a tech computer store and according to him, no anti virus will doall of the cleaning you want. All fall short in one way or another. Most of the free ones are no longer are free.
I think I heard that avast just purchased avg, true ornot sure. He also mentioned that in windows 10, windows defender conflicts with avg in some of the builds and customers have come in with a black screen because of the conflict, not all mind you but some do He has had many computers in the shop and all sware their's is the best protection and yet, bingo, they have virus of some type or another. In windows 10, windows defender helps but is not perfect. Personally, I am now using f secure, not because it is the best or not, I don't really know. How ecer it is free from my cable server, cogeco inCanada They tell me that it is in the top 3 and my friend tells me it is near the bottom in some lists. The best way to keep your computer clean is to really check your emails, and if you don't know who is sending it, then , your choice, but, delete it Don't go on the internet unless you know where you are going. Don't answer emails that promis the moon and give nothing. Make sure you don't fill in stuff in an email from your bank, they don't send emails Ok, that is from me, who does not really know much anyway.
